Have you ever lived through the experience of meeting new friends? But what does friendship really mean? Is it simply spending time with the ones you deeply care about, or could it almost become something more? Something special. Something you can't replace. This happens everywhere. Not just in the human world, it's played a big part on the characters that we've all grown to love over the decades. In this practical sense, a twist of fate brought two different worlds together. Sonic...the fastest hedgehog ever known, will never forget the day when he met everyone's favorite ponies in Equestria. They've done so many wonders and reintroduced him to what the meaning of true friendship is all about.

The story began on a midsummer day. Inside the huge flying fortress forever knows as The Egg Carrier, the egotistical Dr. Eggman was furious. After constantly meeting failure after failure to destroy his greatest adversary, Eggman slams his fist on the control panel. He's accompanied by two dim-witted and clumsy robot assistants named Decoe and Bocoe. Decoe is tall, slim and gold, while Bocoe is short, fat and silver.

"I just can't believe this! Every plan, every robot, ruined by that pesky hedgehog!"

"Don't worry Eggman, I don't think all your plans are a complete failure."

Eggman bashes Decoe on his forehead with a wrench.

"I'll turn you into scrap metal for saying that!"

Bocoe communicates with his constructed counterpart. He had no business saying that to their creator.

"See, I told you he was in a bad mood."

"Shut up Bocoe!" Decoe rubs his head from the pain.

Bocoe tries to calm Eggman down. "Uh...not to ruin your mood Dr. but we did manage to swipe the Chaos Emeralds away from Sonic and his friends during our last encounter."

"Maybe so, but after all that trouble, Sonic and Shadow still obtain the last two Emeralds. Just be grateful that we were able to make a swift getaway!"

"Should we go back for them?" Decoe asked.

"No, I have a better idea, one that not even Sonic can stop. It's foolproof!" Eggman grins and presses a button on his right armrest. When his chair turns around, a small hatch opens in front of him, revealing a small but weird looking blaster with two beakers on top of it. Inside the beakers is a strange purple substance that's glowing.

"Not to be confused Dr. but I don't see how this can help us defeat Sonic..." As he stares at Decoe, the robot quickly shields himself with his arms. "...Please don't hit me!"

Feeling confident, the evil scientist explains his diabolical plan. "What you're looking at is my greatest invention yet, I call it...The Eggstractor. You see, thanks to Super Sonic for neutralizing Dark Gaia, I was able to construct this device in order to harness the remains of Gaia's Dark Energy. Upon further inspection, I soon figured out that the energy itself is extremely radioactive, so touching it would be hazardous. Since that little blue fur ball is well known for only using the positive power of the Emeralds, I plan to inject this Dark Energy into the Chaos Emeralds, which will then fill them up with negative power. According to my knowledge, if Sonic absorbs too much negative power, he'll become weak. Weak enough for me to crush with my own bare hands!"

"That's brilliant Dr. Eggman!" Bocoe advised. "Sonic won't be expecting that!"

"Don't get your hopes up Bocoe, it's only my backup plan, just in case." Eggman said.

Decoe and Bocoe looked at eachother. Unsure of why he would immediately refuse such a great idea.

"But why?" Decoe asked.

"As long as those fury freaks are out there, I won't be able to take over this world and build my own empire of Eggmanland. The Dark Energy will only come in handy when Sonic tries to get the Chaos Emeralds back. But don't worry, my real plan is simple!....We shall find a new place, a new world to build our empire. Without Sonic and his annoying friends to stop us!"

Eggman turns his chair back to the control panel.

"Decoe and Bocoe...Surprise me!"

When they type in on the controls, a giant monitor pops up in front of them. The screen flickers through a random selection of destinations. After careful timing, it finally chooses one.

"Dr. Eggman, look!" Decoe responds.

While stroking his mustache, Eggman pronounces the name of their new location.

"Hmm...Equestria huh?"

"Sir, according to our system status, Equestria is populated by..." Bocoe hesitates, and checks his eyes to make sure that he's reading the screen correctly. He was astonished, but at the same time completely obscured by the results. "I can't believe I'm about to say this!"

"What is it?" Demanding an answer, Bocoe responds to his master's whim.

"Ponies!...Colorful talking ponies!"

"Oh-Ho-Ho-Ho-Ho!" Eggman chuckled. "Ponies? Is this a joke?"

"Not at all sir." Decoe replied. "It says here that their guardian and ruler is a princess named Celestia. From the looks of it, she seems less more of a threat than Sonic."

After sharing a sinister laugh, Eggman took a slight pause. "It's a longshot, but it'll have to do. Activate the CC Beacon!"

The two robots looked at each other in confusion.

"CC Beacon?" Decoe asked.

"Chaos Control Beacon you morons!" Eggman shouted. "Now that we finally gathered some of the Chaos Emeralds, it's time to see what power they truly possess!.......Activate!"

The machine holding the Emeralds in place lights up, and runs an electrical current through the five Chaos Emeralds, causing them to glow. Due to the outcome of the battle, they've captured the purple, silver, yellow, blue, and light blue Emeralds, while Sonic and Shadow still hold the red and green Emeralds. When the Egg Carrier disappears into a flash of light, it warps through time and space, and heads straight for Equestria. With another bright flash, the Egg Carrier arrives at their first sight of the new world...Cloudsdale.

"So this is it?" Eggman questioned.

"Yes sir." Decoe answered. "The Chaos Control Beacon worked. Welcome to the land of Equestria!"

"Excellent! Phase 1 is complete. On to Phase 2!"

"What's Phase 2?" Bocoe asked.

Dr. Eggman cracks with a despicable smile. "Burn Equestria to the ground!"
